UK Roads: Leicester

The Leicester Outer Ring Road plans have changed over time. Here is a map showing part of the original alignment. You can see in the top lefthand corner where it diverges from the modern A563  and heads SSW along Kingsway North. Then there is a break before Kingsway, which reaches, and crosses, the Narborough Road (this was once the A46, and is part of the Fosse Way). Shortly thereafter it stops, and fails to cross the river.

Now for the other end. This isn't as easy to work out, but see here. I envisage that Wigston Lane would have been upgraded, and the Kingsway extended over the river to meet it on the Lutterworth Road. The Ring would then have rejoined the present A563  at the Saffron Lane roundabout. Anyone know any better?
